Yet another country...

Another Monday, another country for our Little Fox book (in Dutch: Vosje). The book, with its magnificent art work by Marije Tolman, will be published in China. A big thank you to the publishing house of Jieli!

Little Fox traveled to the United States, Argentina, Slovenia, North-Macedonia, Germany, France, Italy, Iran, Lithuania, Russia, Slovakia and Turkey before. It was originally published by Querido in Amsterdam, and rights can be negociated with Querido's rights manager Luciënne van der Leije.Thanks also to agent Yuming Kao!

Cheer-up bird in Chinese

Lately the rights for a Chinese version of CHEER-UP BIRD, the picture book I got to make with Ingrid & Dieter Schubert, were sold to publishing house Tomorrow. This will be the third translation after the English one in the United States and the German one. The book was originally published by Lemniscaat. Earlier also the Italian and Turkish rights were sold, but both deals were annuled.  

THE DEER TO TAIWAN

THIRTEEN RUNNING DEER (DERTIEN RENNENDE HERTJES), the book Mattias De Leeuw and I made for the Belgum company De Eenhoorn, was recently sold to Taiwan. Thus, it will be translated in what is called complex Chinese by Minya Lin. The Taiwanese publishing house will be Taiwan Interminds Publishing Inc.
The book came out in Germany (got a nomination for the German Literature Award 2015) and was also sold to China (mainland).
